PROGRESS PROCESS

The Progress Process is a roadmap that'll guide you in making lasting lifestyle changes across various aspects of your life.

As you work through this process, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your purpose, identify your priorities, and develop sustainable habits that align with your goals.

PURPOSE/IDENTITY

Discover who you truly are, your core values, and what drives you to make meaningful changes in your life.

What is your Why. What is your Identity. What are your strengths. What are your Values.

Self perception and identity can influence our behaviour and actions. By aligning our actions with our desired identity, we can create positive change and reach our goals more effectively. The process of gaining clarity on your desired identity is an ongoing one.

PRIORITY

Figure out what really matters by ranking different aspects of our life, so we can focus on what's most important and urgent.

Knowing our true priorities is important when it comes to making lifestyle change. We can often be frustrated by a lack of improvement in one area because other areas of our life are demanding attention.

To find our priorities, rate the following in order 1 to 6. First for IMPORTANCE then again for URGENCY (what is demanding your focus or attention right now):

  • Health and Fitness

  • Career and Education

  • Wealth Creation

  • Relationships and social connection

  • Passion and Hobbies

  • Lifestyle

Then multiply the two numbers to get your priority rating. The lower the number the higher the priority. Resist challenges and major investments in areas outside your top 3.

ACTION

Take small actions to change your perspective and create inspiration. Movement creates motivation so let’s find an action that you can take right now, something small enough so it becomes really hard to fail. Make it simple, safe, sustainable.

Start with small, doable steps to create momentum and build up your confidence in making positive changes.

We often don’t get started because we don’t know how to solve a problem. Or alternatively, when we do get started we take on too much too soon and we can’t sustain it, so we give up. This phase is incredibly powerful when we are anxious or uncertain or in areas of life that aren’t our highest priority and at times when we cannot commit large amounts of energy to the changes we want to make.

MOTIVATION

We are now motivated enough that we can take on a major challenge. Lets channel your motivation into the right things so you make progress that lasts rather than short term gains. Trust the process.

We get excited and enthusiastic sometimes and often see some early gains. But then life gets in the way and our results disappear as quickly as they came. Channel our newfound motivation into lasting improvements by focusing on sustainable changes rather than short-term wins.

Make larger investments of energy (time, money, resources) into significant changes in your life. Be very focused on sustainable change. Do not invest in hitting goals or focussing on results, instead change your environment, systems, values and habits.

HABITS

Transform our daily routines by creating healthy habits that align with your values and goals, making it easier to maintain your progress over time.

Habits are compounding automatic repetitive behaviour. Change your values, systems and environment to make desired behaviours automatic. Create a habits register and develop strategies using 4 factors Cue, Craving, Response, Reward.

Real success doesn’t come from short term effort. It compounds over time and eventually the gains far exceed the effort we put in.
