So you’re a Seeker, someone who is curious about making a change but hesitates or is unsure of where to start. Whether it be in your diet, exercise, career, relationships or lifestyle, something’s not quite how you want it to be or you know there is potential for something better.  Do you wanna know the best thing about being a seeker... pretty much everyone is currently here in one aspect of life or another because we all start somewhere.

Whatever it is you’re working on we want to start by saying congrats on your first step, we are happy you're here!!

  • Tim's taken the plunge and signed up at the local gym, but every time he steps foot inside, he's flooded with insecurity. He's got no clue how to use the fancy machines and feels like everyone's watching his every move.

Suggestion: Tim, we've all been there! Don't let gymtimidation hold you back. Start with the smallest possible action: pop in just to say g'day to a staff member and then head out. No pressure, no workout. As you get comfortable, consider joining a beginner-friendly group class or booking an induction with a coach. They'll show you the ropes, and soon enough, you'll be navigating that gym like a pro. Embrace the journey and remember – it's good for the plot!

  • Poor Reece has just bounced back from a kidney stone situation, and he's pretty sure it's due to only drinking 2 coffees a day, water-free lifestyle. The idea of going from zero to three litres a day is daunting, but the thought of another kidney stone is even scarier.

Suggestion: Reece, no need to dive into the deep end just yet! Start small by adding a sip of water after brushing your teeth or before your first coffee. Baby steps, mate! As you find more opportunities to sneak in a sip, gradually increase the volume. Before you know it, you'll be well on your way to hydration station.

  • Jas is feeling flat as a pancake lately, and she's got a sneaking suspicion that her diet of quick, sugary fixes might be to blame. But the thought of a total diet overhaul is overwhelming, and she's not sure where to begin. Jas is holding back because she knows she cant stick to it, so what’s the point. Every time she tries, she fails.

Suggestion: Jas, relax! Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither are healthy habits. Start by swapping out one sugary snack for a healthier alternative – like ditching that chocolate bar for a handful of nuts. Over time, add more nutritious options to your meals. Remember, it's all about progress, not perfection!

CHALLENGES YOU MIGHT FACE

We're shining a light on these challenges to help you not only be aware of them but also expect and embrace them. Remember, overcoming obstacles often lead to the most rewarding journeys – and it's good for the plot! So, take on the ups and downs, and let them enrich your unique story of personal growth.

IMPATIENCE - It's completely natural to crave instant results. However, one of the primary reasons people fall short of their goals is due to biting off more than they can chew too quickly. Remember, progress that lasts is all about gradual improvement, so try to curb your impatience and focus on taking small, consistent steps forward.

UNCERTAINTY - With so much information and countless possibilities out there, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure about where to begin. Don't let uncertainty paralyze you. Instead, embrace the journey of learning and know that every step you take will lead to a greater understanding of what works best for you.

ANXIETY - Starting a new journey can be anxiety-provoking, especially when it's tied to your sense of self-worth. It's important to recognise that fear and apprehension are normal emotions when embarking on a transformative journey. Acknowledge these feelings, but don't let them hold you back. Remember, the fact that you're nervous only proves how much this journey means to you.

Focus ON ACTION

Take small actions to change your perspective and create inspiration. For each desired behaviour, break it down into even smaller behaviours that lead forward and then even smaller again. In fact, make your first step so small that it seems ridiculous to not do it. Focus on establishing the pattern, not the result.

Movement MINDSET

More than None, Sooner than Never

Smallest possible action. Make it simple, safe and sustainable. Focus on the fundamentals of sleep, eating, getting basic exercise, sunlight and taking care of yourself. This can be survival mode. Make these actions the smallest possible, if necessary, just breathe.
