Summary
A calorie is a unit of measurement for the amount of energy that you consume through food and drink and the energy you burn throughout the day.
A calorie deficit means consuming fewer calories than you burn, a calorie surplus means eating more than you need.
Maintaining a Calorie deficit over a period of time will result in weight loss. Maintain a calorie surplus over a period of time will result in weight gain.
If you have a calorie surplus on the weekend that outweighs the calorie deficit you have during the week.
No amount of cardio, magic food or pills are going to cause you to lose weight. You absolutely have to be burning more than you eat throughout the say in order to lose weight.
No specific diet will help you lose weight if you don’t maintain a calorie deficit. The best diet is one you enjoy and supports you to maintain a calorie deficit or surplus over a period of time.
