Calf Raise Machine
CALF RAISE MACHINE
TARGET MUSCLES: Soleus, Gastrocnemius
MOVEMENTS: Plantar Flexion
Sit down on the calf raise machine and place your toes at the edge of the platform. Adjust the pads firmly on top of your thighs.
Raise your heels to lift the weights, and then unlock the machine by pulling the brake to the side. Keep your back straight and your knees bent at a 90-degree angle. This is the starting position.
Inhale as you slowly lower the weights by lowering your heels until they are close to the floor.
Exhale as you use rise up on to the balls of your feet using your calves to raise your heels, lifting the weight as high as possible. After completing your reps, relock the weights before leaving the machine.
